Forwell Successfully Develops High-Tonnage AGV Unmanned Transport Equipment Through AI-Driven Transformation

By Chen Renyi

As a leading cross-strait manufacturer in intelligent quick die change system integration, Forwell Technology Group pioneered and developed the nation’s first PCB Punching Hydraulic Stripping System (PFPS) more than 20 years ago. This innovative solution received a new utility patent and has since been widely adopted by PCB manufacturers, with markets extending to China, India, Turkey, and more. Forwell remains the industry leader in Taiwan and has continued to invest in developing intelligent PCB peripheral automation equipment, while also successfully expanding into the high-load AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) AI equipment market.

Forwell President Hsu Wen-Long stated that the production of single-sided and double-layer composite PCB boards involves multiple stages—from substrate printing, etching, punching and stripping, electronic component assembly, to passing quality inspections before completion. Among these steps, the punching and stripping system is a mid-stage process but plays a crucial role in determining conductivity performance and yield rate. Using conventional punch-ejection methods for double-layer boards often results in deformation, delamination, cracking, or jagged hole edges, ultimately ruining the entire production process.

He added that although high-end multilayer and integrated PCBs are advancing toward higher precision and even nanoscale development, low-end PCBs such as single- and double-layer boards remain widely used in applications like control panels, keyboards, and simple membrane circuit boards. These processes rely on PFPS to improve productivity and stabilize quality. Forwell’s PFPS helps PCB manufacturers achieve high efficiency, high yield, shorter lead times, and safer, more ergonomic operations. When used for punching hydraulic stripping on double-layer composite boards, it produces smooth hole edges without delamination or cracking, greatly improving product yield.

The main structural design of Forwell’s PFPS stripping table features a special assembly of precision-machined and hardened plates combined with multiple oil seals. Through pneumatic pressure adjustments, the system generates various hydraulic stripping pressures that synchronize smoothly with punch press speed, resulting in stable and uniform movement and consistent stripping force. With 0-degree or 180-degree stripping orientations compatible with automated feeding systems, the equipment offers easy operation and adjustment, high precision, and long service life—making it ideal for general PCB punching and stripping applications. It is also equipped with an intelligent quick die change system to achieve automation, labor savings, and improved processing quality.

To meet global AI development trends, Forwell has successfully developed 5–35 ton high-load AGV automated guided vehicles. Featuring servo-positioning design for enhanced accuracy, these AGVs include liftable loading platforms for safer and easier material handling. Equipped with obstacle avoidance, remote control, and factory-map-based autonomous navigation, they support unmanned transport of molds, components, and heavy workpieces for warehouse entry and automated production lines. They meet the needs of AI-driven unmanned logistics and one-stop production processes. Forwell will continue to develop higher-tonnage AGV models and can provide both standardized and customized solutions based on operational needs.
