Forwell Changhua County Champion of Calligraphy Contest

In order to further catalyze calligraphy culture, and meanwhile to support local cultural education, the Directed by the Ministry of Culture, Changhua County Government, Changhua City Office, and organized by Changhua Calligraphy Association and Forwell Lions Club International, and sponsored exclusively by Forwell, co-organized by the Affiliated Industrial Vocational High School of NCUE together with another lions club, the contest is titled “Han Yi Shen Fei” (literal translation: Flying Calligraphy) and was held in the Affiliated Industrial Vocational High School of NCUE. Participants’ calligraphic works were examined and awarded at the contest.

The award ceremony was held by professional calligrapher together with Changhua City and County officials. General Manager Hsiao of Forwell and other important local cultural figures were also there at the ceremony. This is the consecutive six times that Forwell holds the contest and this time there were 768 contestants in six groups. After the preliminary contest, there were 120 contestants selected for the final contest by the experts.

At the final contest, contestants practiced calligraphy and their worksheets are evaluated by calligraphy artists from different places. The awards are given to top three and other selected works made by both students and adults. These prizewinners are Yan Peng-xiu, Jiang Yi-zhen, Yang Yi-uan, Li Xin-hong, Lin Han-ye, and Lin Xin-jiao.
